<p><strong>Bangladesh</strong> is formerly the People&#8217;s Republic of Bangladesh. It is characterized by two distinctive features, a broad deltaic plain subject to frequent flooding and a small hilly region crossed by swiftly flowing rivers.</p>
<p>It is bordered by India, with a small common border with Myanmar in the south west. It has an area of 144,000 square kilometers and extend 820 kilometer north to south and 600 kilometers east to west.</p>

<p>Agriculture in Bangladesh is focused on rice, jute, tea, wheat, sugar cane, potatoes, tobacco, oilseeds, spices, fruit, beef, milk and poultry. They give importance to fisheries. </p>
<p>The industry is centered on manufacturing of jute, cotton textiles, ready made garments, tea processing, paper new sprint, cement, chemical fertilizers, light engineering, sugar and pharmaceutical. </p>
<p>Bangladesh is sufficient in natural gas for country&#8217;s nitrogenous fertilizers needs as well as rich in coal and timber. They also have a reserve of petroleum, on and offshore hydro-electrical and thermal resources. </p>
<p>The country export jute, frozen seafoods, ready made garments, tea, and leather goods to United States, Japan and Britain while they export food grains, fuel, raw cotton, fertilizers to their suppliers in Singapore, Japan and United States. </p>
